I got a new battery and alternator installed and now radio doesn’t work?
I had a new battery and alternator installed in my car. It runs just fine now, but the radio doesn’t work. Why?
it will be the anti theft code. When ever power is disconnected from the radio, you need to enter a code. This is designed to stop people stealing them as they cannot sell on a radio without a valid code. If you have a manual with your car, look through it to see if there is a 4 digit code written down somewhere. Often people write it in the back cover and sometimes there is a little radio card the size of a business card with it on
also, if bought your car from a dealer, themn they will have it on record…… ring the dealer up and explain it to them and they can give it to you over the phone.
failing that, there are site which can crack it for you but they will charge!! give the other options a go first!!!
